One locker file

You paste a file link from a locker. FileShot asks that host for the file and saves the bytes.

Official retrieve only

Mega, GoFile, PixelDrain, MediaFire, Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, and 1fichier use the host public API or FileShot paid account.

Watch sites stay on Video Downloader

YouTube, TikTok, and tube sites are a different product. Host Fetch is the short locker list.

How Host Fetch works

Paste a public locker link. FileShot talks to that host through the official API or a FileShot paid hoster account and prepares the file for Download file. Mega, GoFile, PixelDrain, MediaFire, Google Drive, Dropbox, 1fichier, and WeTransfer are the lockers on this page. The ready state shows the hoster file name. There is no 720p menu because this is one file, not a stream ladder.

Unknown hosts return an error that names the host. That is intentional. Thousands of watch sites stay on Video Downloader. Ordinary web pages that link many files stay on Page File Downloader. Host Fetch is the short locker list.

Free 1fichier wait rules still belong to that host until a FileShot Premium key is set for 1fichier. WeTransfer needs a live we.tl (or equivalent) transfer FileShot can retrieve. PixelDrain, GoFile, Mega public file links, MediaFire public files, Drive, and Dropbox public files retrieve through the host path FileShot already wired.

When a locker offers a folder of files, open the folder on that host and copy one file URL at a time. Host Fetch is one retrieve. A Mega folder page is not a zip of the whole folder on this surface. PixelDrain and GoFile file links behave the same way: one public file, one save.

If you already saved the locker file and you want other people to download it from FileShot, upload that file to FileShot sharing after it lands. Host Fetch does not mint a FileShot share by itself. Save and Share is the page that zips a website and mints a link. Direct File Downloader is the page for a raw CDN file that is not a locker.

Privacy on locker retrieves

FileShot requests the file from the locker you pasted. It does not open your personal Mega or Drive account unless the link is already a public file URL. Encrypted Mega public links need the handle and the key in the URL. Folder indexes that are not a single file can fail until you paste a file URL.

The retrieved bytes are for your download session. FileShot does not turn your locker paste into a public gallery. After the file is on your disk, you can share it with FileShot encrypted sharing or keep it local. Pro raises the size cap on hoster retrieves.

Lockers this page fetches

Host Fetch retrieves one public file from this locker list:

  • Mega — Public /file/ links with a handle and a decryption key. Folder pages are not a single file retrieve.
  • GoFile — Public GoFile file links retrieved through the host API FileShot uses.
  • PixelDrain — Public PixelDrain file links.
  • MediaFire — Public MediaFire file pages FileShot can resolve to a file body.
  • Google Drive — Public Drive file links. Sign-in walls and “access denied” pages will fail until the file is public.
  • Dropbox — Public Dropbox file links.
  • 1fichier — Public 1fichier links. Free wait pages follow 1fichier rules until FileShot has a Premium key for that host.
  • WeTransfer — Live we.tl (or WeTransfer) transfers FileShot can retrieve with the official recipient path.
  • Wrong tool — YouTube, TikTok, and tube watch URLs belong on Video Downloader.
  • Wrong tool for a whole page — A blog that links twenty PDFs belongs on Page File Downloader, not here.

When the paste is not a locker file, use the matching FileShot tool:

Frequently Asked Questions

Which hosts can I paste?

Mega, GoFile, PixelDrain, MediaFire, Google Drive, Dropbox, 1fichier, and WeTransfer. Paste a public file URL. If the host is not on that list, Host Fetch names the host in the error. Use Video Downloader or Page File Downloader for everything else.

Do I need my own Mega or Drive login?

No. Paste a public file link. Private files that require your password will fail until they are public or shared as a public link. FileShot does not type your locker password into the host for you.

Why does 1fichier sit on a wait page?

Free 1fichier downloads follow 1fichier’s own wait rules. FileShot can skip that wait only when a 1fichier Premium key is configured for FileShot. Until then the host rules stand.

Can I paste a YouTube URL here?

No. Host Fetch does not extract watch-page streams. Open Video Downloader and paste the YouTube URL there.

What if I pasted a Mega folder?

Host Fetch saves one file. A folder index is not a single file. Open the folder on Mega, copy a file URL with the key, and paste that file URL.

Where does the file land?

Click Fetch file, confirm the name, then Download file. The locker file saves to your computer. You can upload it to FileShot sharing after it lands if you want a FileShot link.
