Copyright Claims
Last updated: June 19, 2026 — applies to FileShot Video Downloader and related URL-based extraction tools.
Service Overview
FileShot lets users submit URLs to analyze and download video (or other) content from third-party hosts. We do not permanently host, distribute, or maintain downloaded files, user download libraries, or long-term URL history. Streams are fetched on demand and delivered to the user’s device. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to access and save the content they submit.
Free-tier use does not require an account. We do not build persistent profiles of which URLs individual visitors analyze. Our ability to identify users or repeat infringers is therefore limited compared to services that require sign-in for every action.
Copyright Infringement Claims
If you are a copyright owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of a copyright owner and believe that content processed through our service infringes your copyrights, you may submit a DMCA-compliant notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Your notice must include:
- Contact information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s): A description or title (and registration number, if applicable) of the copyrighted material you claim has been infringed.
- Infringing material identification: The URL(s) submitted by users that you believe generate or facilitate access to the infringing download (e.g., the exact video page link on the source platform).
- Good faith statement: A declaration that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement & signature: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, plus your physical or electronic signature.
Our Process Upon Receipt
When we receive a complete, DMCA-compliant notice, we will take reasonable steps to block the reported URL (or URL pattern, where technically feasible) from being processed through our video downloader and related extraction tools.
Because we do not permanently store user-submitted media and maintain limited user-identification data, we cannot always identify repeat infringers. Users remain responsible for complying with copyright law and the terms of the platforms from which they download content.
For copyright issues involving files uploaded to FileShot file sharing (encrypted links), see our general DMCA & Copyright Policy, which covers takedown of shared file links.
