Secure Paste

Share text, code, and notes with end-to-end encryption. Your content is AES-256-GCM encrypted in your browser — the server only ever sees ciphertext.

Zero-Knowledge Encryption: Your text is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before being sent to our servers. The decryption key stays in the URL fragment and never touches our servers.

Zero-Knowledge

AES-256-GCM encryption happens in your browser. The key stays in the URL fragment — our server never sees your content.

Auto-Expiring

Set expiration from 1 hour to 90 days. Burn-after-read mode auto-deletes after a set number of views.

Syntax Highlighting

17+ languages supported including JavaScript, Python, SQL, Rust, Go, and more. Code is rendered beautifully.

What Is Secure Paste?

Secure Paste is FileShot's privacy-first alternative to Pastebin and similar text sharing services. Write or paste any text — code snippets, configuration files, notes, or messages — and generate an encrypted, expiring link that you can share with anyone. The content is encrypted in your browser before it reaches our servers, and decryption happens in the recipient's browser using a key embedded in the URL fragment.

Features include syntax highlighting for over a dozen programming languages, optional password protection, configurable expiration from one hour to 30 days, and burn-after-read mode that deletes the paste after a single view. Unlike traditional paste services, FileShot cannot read your pasted content because the encryption key never touches our servers. This makes Secure Paste ideal for sharing API keys, credentials, sensitive code, or private messages.

Encrypted Text Sharing

FileShot Paste is a secure alternative to traditional paste services like Pastebin or GitHub Gists. Every text snippet you share is encrypted in your browser before transmission, and only recipients with the unique link can decrypt and view the content. Whether you are sharing code snippets, configuration files, log outputs, API keys, or private notes, your content stays confidential and protected from unauthorized access.

Developer-Friendly Features

FileShot Paste includes syntax highlighting for over forty programming languages, making code snippets easy to read and share. Set custom expiration times from one hour to thirty days, or make pastes available indefinitely. Add password protection for an extra layer of security. Each paste generates a clean, shareable URL that works across all devices and platforms without requiring the recipient to create an account or install any software.

Zero-Knowledge Privacy

Unlike conventional paste services that store your text in plaintext on their servers, FileShot Paste uses client-side AES-256 encryption. The encryption key is embedded in the URL fragment — the part after the hash symbol that is never sent to our servers. This means we have zero knowledge of what you paste, and cannot read, search, or analyze your shared content. Your sensitive information stays private by design, not just by policy.
