Save and Share
Paste a page, save the files, and get an encrypted FileShot link in the same shell.
Paste a page address
Save the zip, then get an encrypted share link.
Quick check — then you can download
Preparing a share link…
Usually a few seconds
After the zip:
You get a FileShot link with a key. Send both. The zip is encrypted at rest on FileShot.
Need to share the file securely afterward? FileShot encrypts uploads in your browser before they leave your device.
FileShot zips what you ticked and stores an encrypted copy. You copy a FileShot link.
This does not create a YouTube mirror. It shares the files from the page you pasted.
The link uses FileShot encrypted sharing. Optional expiry still lives on the main FileShot product.
How Save and Share works
Paste a public page, list the files, tick what belongs in the pack, and let FileShot zip those files. Then FileShot stores an encrypted copy and gives you a FileShot link. The person who opens that link downloads the zip. You are not emailing a 400 MB attachment. You are sending a FileShot share.
The first half of the job is the same family as Page File Downloader: files on a page, then a zip. The second half is FileShot sharing: encryption at rest, a link, and a key. Optional expiry still lives on the main FileShot product when you set it there.
This page does not create a YouTube mirror. It shares the files from the page you pasted. Watch pages still belong on Video Downloader. Locker files still belong on Host Fetch, then you can upload the saved file to FileShot if you want a share link.
Think of Save and Share as two products on one screen. First FileShot lists files on the public page, the same family as Page File Downloader. Second it stores an encrypted zip and returns a FileShot URL. If you only want the zip on your disk and you do not need a link, Page File Downloader is the shorter path.
Send the link and the key on different channels when the files are sensitive. A screenshot of the link in a group chat that also shows the key is the same as handing over the zip. FileShot encryption does not help if you publish both halves together.
If the share must die on a date, set expiry on the FileShot share after the link exists. Save and Share mints the pack. Expiry is still a FileShot sharing control, the same as a file you uploaded by hand from disk.
Encrypted sharing
The zip FileShot mints for this flow is stored with FileShot encrypted sharing. Send the link and the key. A person with only the link and no key cannot read the zip. That is the same privacy model as the rest of FileShot file sharing.
Do not paste secrets into the page URL field. Paste a public page that holds the files you are allowed to share. FileShot does not become the copyright owner of those files because you zipped them.
What you share
Save and Share is for a zip of files from a public page, then a FileShot link:
- Page files — Pictures, PDFs, zips, and other files listed from the pasted page.
- Your ticks — Only ticked files go into the zip that gets shared.
- FileShot link — The other person downloads the zip from FileShot, not from the original site.
- Key — The encryption key is required to open the share. Send it through a channel you trust.
- Expiry — Use FileShot sharing options when you need the link to die on a date you choose.
- Not a stream share — A YouTube URL does not become a FileShot video host on this page.
- Not email — The product is a link, not an SMTP send from FileShot to their inbox.
- Pro time — Pro can keep share links longer, matching FileShot plan rules.
- Empty list — If the page has no files, there is nothing to zip or share.
- Locker first — Save a Mega file with Host Fetch, then upload that file to FileShot if you want this kind of share.
Guides
Other FileShot paths around zips and links:
- Page File Downloader — zip without minting a share link
- Gallery Pack — pictures only
- Document Pack — PDFs and office files
- FileShot upload — encrypt a file you already have on disk
- Archive Builder — zip local files
- Video Downloader — save a watch-page file, then share it from FileShot if you want
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the other person receive?
A FileShot link to an encrypted zip of the files you ticked. They download that zip. They do not get your FileShot password.
Is the zip encrypted?
Yes. FileShot encrypted sharing stores the pack. Send the key with the link. Without the key the zip is not readable as your files.
Can I share a YouTube video this way?
Not from this page. Save the video with Video Downloader, then upload the file to FileShot if you want a FileShot link.
How long does the link last?
That follows FileShot sharing and your plan. Pro can keep links longer. Set expiry on the FileShot share when you need a hard end date.
Do I need an account?
Listing files can run as a tool visit. Minting a FileShot share uses FileShot sharing. Sign in when the product asks, the same way a normal FileShot upload does.
What if the original page deletes the files tomorrow?
The share is the zip FileShot stored. The original page can vanish and the zip on the share can still download until that share expires or you remove it.
