Listing audio files…
Usually a few seconds
What gets listed:
Audio files linked on the page. A YouTube watch URL still uses Video Downloader audio-only.
Need to share the file securely afterward? FileShot encrypts uploads in your browser before they leave your device.
If the page links an mp3 or similar file, it shows up here. The tool does not rip sound from a video player.
Leave the tracks you want. Untick the rest. Download file writes an audio zip.
A podcast episode page that links an mp3 belongs here. A TikTok watch page does not.
How Audio From Page works
Paste a page that links audio files. FileShot lists MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC, and similar files and zips the tracks you tick. This is for podcast episode pages, band download pages, and any document that already points at an audio file.
This is not the Video Downloader “audio only” switch. That switch rips sound from a video stream on a watch page. Audio From Page never opens a YouTube player. If you want sound from a TikTok or YouTube URL, use Video Downloader and choose audio there.
Tick the tracks you want. Download file writes an audio zip. Convert tracks after they land if you need a different codec. FileShot Converter is the tool for that second step.
Podcast CMS tools often put the MP3 on a CDN and only embed a player script on the episode page. If Audio From Page lists nothing, the HTML never contained an audio file URL. Open the episode in a browser, find the MP3 in the network log, and paste that file URL into Direct File Downloader.
Playlists of MP3s on a static site work well here: one HTML page, many file links, tick the tracks. Streaming apps that never expose a file URL will always be empty on this page. Those apps do not publish a downloadable audio file on the document you pasted.
After the zip lands, use File Converter if you need WAV for an editor or MP3 for a phone. Audio From Page does not transcode during the zip. It stores the files the page already offered.
Live radio streams without a file URL will not appear. This page zips files. A never-ending stream is Video Downloader or a recorder, not Audio From Page. If the station also publishes an MP3 of the show, paste the page that links that MP3.
Chapter markers, show notes, and transcripts that are HTML on the episode page are not audio files. They will not appear in the zip unless the page also linked those as files. Save the MP3s here, then copy show notes from the site if you need the text.
If the page links both a 96 kbps preview and a 320 kbps file, both can appear. Tick the quality you want. Audio From Page does not hide the preview just because a larger file exists. That choice stays yours.
Privacy on audio zips
FileShot fetches the public page to find audio file addresses. It does not keep a public playlist of your pastes. The zip is for your session.
Only zip audio you are allowed to save. A public MP3 link is still someone else’s recording if you do not have rights to keep it.
What gets listed
Audio From Page lists audio files linked on the pasted page:
- MP3 — The common podcast and preview format.
- M4A and AAC — Often used by episode CDNs and Apple-style audio.
- WAV — Uncompressed audio when the page linked a WAV file.
- FLAC — Lossless files when the page linked FLAC.
- OGG and OPUS — Listed when those files are on the page.
- Not YouTube — A watch URL is Video Downloader audio-only.
- Not a mixer — This page does not merge stems or apply EQ. It zips files.
- ID3 and names — File names follow what the host sent. Rename on disk if the zip used generic names.
- Feeds — Some podcast pages link one episode file. Show-notes pages can link several. The list is whatever the HTML pointed at.
- Paywalled episodes — If the MP3 URL requires a cookie, the row can fail at zip time even if the title appeared.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as Video Downloader audio only?
No. Video Downloader audio-only is for watch pages. Audio From Page is for pages that already link audio files.
Can I paste a Spotify or Apple Music album URL?
Those apps do not hand FileShot a public MP3 file URL. If the page does not link an audio file, the list is empty. Paste a page that actually links MP3 or similar files.
Do you add a FileShot voice-over?
No. The zip contains the audio files from the page.
Why is my podcast missing?
The episode page may stream from a player without a file URL in the HTML. View source or the network panel on the site, copy the MP3 URL, and use Direct File Downloader, or find a page that links the file.
Can I pick one track out of ten?
Yes. Untick the rest.
What is the size cap?
Audio zips follow FileShot plan caps. Pro raises the cap.
