How Page Screenshot works
Paste a public URL. FileShot opens that page and saves a full-page PNG. Download file writes page.png to your computer. The file is a picture of the page, not an MP4 of the site and not a zip of the images on the page.
Use Gallery Pack when you want the album files. Use Page File Downloader when you want PDFs and zips linked on the page. Use Page Screenshot when you need a still of how the page looked.
Login walls, bot blocks, and pages that never finish painting can fail. That is the live page. FileShot cannot screenshot a site that refuses the capture.
A screenshot is a record of paint, not a copy of the site files. Text in the PNG is pixels. You cannot search it like a PDF unless you OCR later. If you need the PDF the page linked, use Document Pack or Direct File Downloader on that PDF URL.
Long marketing pages with lazy sections can capture short if the server-side open never scrolled those sections into view. If the PNG cuts off, the page did not paint the rest for FileShot capture. Try a print-friendly URL on the same site when they offer one.
Do not paste internal dashboards, password-reset links, or URLs with live session tokens. FileShot will request that URL. Page Screenshot is for public pages you are willing to have FileShot open.
Captures include whatever the public page drew: cookie banners, newsletter popups, and hero videos frozen as a frame. Close those on a print URL if the site offers one. FileShot does not click “accept cookies” for you on this tool.
If you need every image as its own file plus a still of the layout, run Gallery Pack or Page File Downloader on the same URL and also capture here. Those are three different outputs: image files, mixed files, and one PNG of paint. Do not expect page.png to unzip into the gallery.
Dark-mode sites capture as they served FileShot. If you wanted the light theme, paste a URL or query the site uses for that theme. Page Screenshot does not toggle the site theme for you.
Animated heroes freeze at whatever frame the capture painted. If you needed the video, that is Video Downloader. If you needed the poster image file, that is Gallery Pack. Page Screenshot is the still of the layout.
Privacy on captures
FileShot loads the public URL to render the PNG. It does not keep a public gallery of your screenshots. The PNG is for your download session.
Do not paste a URL that includes a secret token you do not want FileShot to request. The capture is a server-side open of that address.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the result a video?
No. It is a PNG still of the page.
Can I screenshot a page behind a login?
Only if that URL is already public without your cookies. FileShot does not log into your bank or your private dashboard.
Why is the PNG blank or short?
The site blocked the capture, never finished painting, or served an interstitial. Try a simpler public URL.
Does this save every image on the page as files?
No. Those pixels sit inside the PNG. Use Gallery Pack for image files.
Can I pick a region of the page?
This tool captures the public page. It does not crop to a drawn rectangle on this surface.
What is the size cap?
Capture size follows your FileShot plan. Pro raises it.
