How Video DownloadHelper works
It watches the page in your browser and offers the media it detects. It only sees what loads in your own browser tab.

When you paste a link, a server-side chain of five extraction engines takes turns until one returns the real file: yt-dlp with rotating client profiles and browser impersonation, Cobalt, a real headless Chromium browser that plays the page and captures the stream, an HTML media sniffer, and Nextractor, FileShot’s own extractor for players the open-source tools miss.
