DMCA & Copyright Policy
FileShot.io respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content available on FileShot.io infringes your copyright, please provide our designated copyright agent with the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that has been allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works at one online site are covered, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or have access disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material (e.g., the URL or file link).
- Contact information for the notifier, including address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that the notifier has a good faith belief that the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and that the notifying party is authorized to make the complaint on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. The counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it previously appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
Repeat Infringers
FileShot.io will terminate access for users who are repeat infringers of copyright. We maintain a policy of disabling access to content that has been identified as infringing and terminating accounts of repeat infringers.
Zero-Knowledge Encryption Notice
FileShot.io uses zero-knowledge, end-to-end encryption. Files are encrypted in the user’s browser before upload, and FileShot.io cannot decrypt or view file contents. We can, however, disable access to specific file links when properly notified under the DMCA. We cannot inspect file contents without the decryption key, but we will remove access to reported links promptly upon valid notice.
